Structural appraisals are often required as part of an insurance claim for subsidence damage to a structure or in order to assist conveyancing if an initial survey has detected problems which require structural assessment.

We can offer a service to clients involving assessment of the likely cause of any defects and recommendations for repair if appropriate. Typically this can involve claims for subsidence and the design of underpinning as necessary.

Buildings which are damaged through deterioration or neglect or from other causes may require strengthening to reinstate structural integrity.  We can assess the structure and propose solutions to such buildings.

Do you need advice about a party wall?

Under the Party Wall etc Act 1996, building owners are required to give notice to their neighbours if they intend to carry out any works which affect the structure of any party wall or if they intend to build a new structure on the party boundary line.

We can advise on the notifications and prepare the documentation to meet with legal obligations under the act.
